EMC2113是一款符合SMBus标准的风扇控制器。风扇驱动器可以使用两种方法进行操作，每种方法都有两种模式。这些方法包括基于RPM的风扇速度控制算法和直接PWM驱动设置。模式包括手动编程所需设置或使用内部可编程温度查找表基于测量的温度选择所需设置。

EMC2113包括一个温度监测器，最多可测量三（3）个外部二极管和一个内部二极管。温度监测器提供1°C的精度（用于外部二极管），具有复杂的功能，以减少处理器中常见的衬底热二极管晶体管的串联电阻和β变化带来的误差。

该设备包括所有温度通道的上限和下限，以及硬件设置的临界温度限制。此硬件设置限制驱动专用系统关闭引脚。

最后，该器件包括一个漏极开路、有源低中断引脚，用于标记温度或风扇控制错误。
