MIC2012是一款双通道USB电源开关，旨在支持ACPI S3状态下USB唤醒的电源分配要求。MIC2012将直接在5V主电源和5V辅助电源之间切换其两个输出，通常在ATX型电源中提供。MIC2012将根据其所处的ACPI状态调整其电流限制阈值。在正常活动S0状态下，电流限制设置为每个通道最小500mA，满足USB连续输出电流规范。在S3状态下，电流限制可以降低到每个通道仅100mA，以最大限度地减少辅助电源提供的电流，从而确保即使在故障条件下也能保持电压调节。MIC2012提供先通后断切换，以确保S3和S0状态之间无故障转换。每个通道也与另一个通道热隔离，因此一个通道中的故障不会影响另一个。还提供故障状态输出信号，指示过电流和热关闭条件。MIC2072选项在检测到过电流情况时锁存输出，时间至少超过5ms。可以通过切换MIC2072-1、-2的EN输入或移除负载来重置输出。锁定输出提供了一种断路器操作模式，可降低故障条件下的功耗。
