LM2576系列单片集成电路为降压（buck）开关稳压器提供所有有源功能。固定版本可提供3.3V、5V或12V固定输出。可调版本的输出电压范围从1.23V到37V。两种版本都能够以出色的线路和负载调节来驱动3A负载。

这些调节器使用简单，因为它们需要最少数量的外部组件，并且包括内部频率补偿和固定频率振荡器。

LM2576系列为流行的三端可调线性调节器提供了高效的替代品。它大大减小了散热器的尺寸，并且在许多情况下不需要散热器。

可从几个不同制造商获得的标准系列电感器非常适合与LM2576系列一起使用。此功能大大简化了开关模式电源的设计。
