The MAX22506E ESD-protected RS-485/RS-422 transceiveris optimized for high-speed communication up to50Mbps. This transceiver features integrated hot-swapprotection and a fail-safe receiver, ensuring a logic-highon the receiver output when input signals are shorted oropen for longer than 10μs (typ). Additionally, a large receiverhysteresis improves noise rejection and signal integrity.

The MAX22506E is designed to operate in harsh industrialenvironments and is optimized for robust communicationin environments with high levels of electromagnetic interference(EMI).

The MAX22506E is available in an 8-pin SOIC and an8-pin μMAX package. The transceiver operates over the-40°C to +125°C temperature range.

Applications
