The TMC5272 is a miniaturized, high-performance, dual-axis stepper motor controller and driver IC with serial communication interfaces (SPI, UART) and extensive diagnostic capabilities. It combines a flexible, jerk-optimized ramp generator for automatic positioning with industries’ most advanced stepper motor drivers based on a 256-µsteps built-in indexer and four fully integrated 20V, 1.5AMAX H-bridges plus non-dissipative Integrated Current Sensing (ICS).
