特性
The MAX77720 dual-output DC-DC converter generatestwo independently regulating positive and negativesupply voltages. The positive output delivers up to 4W ofpower at the output while the negative output delivers upto 4.8W of power. The MAX77720 is ideal for poweringtime of flight (ToF) imaging sensors and OLED displaysin smart internet of things (IoT) devices.
The MAX77720 generates an adjustable negative outputdown to -24V and a positive output voltage up to +20V.The negative output operates at a fixed 1.5MHzfrequency while the positive output operates at a fixed1MHz frequency to ease noise filtering in sensitiveapplications and to reduce external component size.
The nERR pin, when connected to an external device’soutput pin, is used to disable the regulators to signal anexternal error. This error can be cleared through I2Cfrom a host processor to re-enable the regulators. Whilein the error on state, there is an option for the activedischarge to be enabled or disabled (for example, to setthe regulator outputs to a high-Z floating).
A bidirectional I2C serial interface allows for configuringand checking the status of the devices. Numerousfactory-programmable options allow the device to betailored for many applications, enabling faster time tomarket.
